Discuss Post Firing Procedures and Maintenance for PRIMARY Weapon: DISASSEMBLE

  1. Clear and make safe
  2. Unsnap the sling
  3. Push take down pin as far as it will go, pivot upper receiver from lower receiver
  4. Push receiver pivot pin
  5. Separate upper and lower receiver
  6. Pull back charging handle and bolt carrier
  7. Remove bolt carrier and bolt
  8. Remove Charging Handle
  9. Remove Firing pin retaining pin
  10. Pull bolt assembly in locked position
  11. Drop Firing pin out rear of bolt carrier
  12. Remove bolt cam pin
  13. Remove bolt assembly from carrier

*Clean, inspect and lube with CLP, wipe dry in accordance to instructions

Post Firing Procedures and Maintenance for PRIMARY: Service/Reassemble

  1. Push in extractor pin
  2. Slide bolt into carrier
  3. Replace bolt cam pin
  4. Drop in and Seat
  5. Pull bolt out
  6. Replace firing pin retaining pin
  7. Engage, then push charging handle port way
  8. Slide in bolt carrier
  9. Push charging handle and bolt carrier group together
  10. Join upper and lower receivers
  11. Engage receiver pivot pin

Post Firing Procedures and Maintenance for PRIMARY: Function Check

A

Remove Mag check chamber
-SAFE - pull charging handle, place on SAFE. pull trigger, hammer should NOT fall.

  • SEMI - Place in SEMI. Pull trigger & hold trigger. Hammer should fall. Pull handle & release. Release trigger and pull again. Hammer should fall.
  • BURST - move to BURST. Pull charging handle to rear and release. Pull trigger and hold, hammer should fall. Pull charging handle to rear 3 times. release trigger & pull again. Hammer Should Fall

Discuss Post Firing Procedures and Maintenance for SECONDARY Weapon: DISASSEMBLE

A
  1. Press mag catch (A) and release the magazine (B)
  2. Pull back the slide (A) as far as it will go and hold it in the open position by pushing up the slide catch lever (C) with your thumb
  3. Check carefully to ensure the chamber is empty and the magazine well is clear
  4. Turn the take-down lever (B) to a vertical (6 o’clock) position
  5. Pull back the slide (A) Slightly to disengage the slide catch lever (B). Hold the slide firmly and allow it to glide forward gently. Now slip the complete assembly, compressing slide (A) and barrel (C) off the frame (D)
  6. Remove the recoil spring and guide (A) taking care to control the release of spring tension while pointing the assembly away from your body and in a safe direction.
  7. Remove the barrel (B) from the slide (C).

Post Firing Procedures and Maintenance for SECONDARY: Service/Reassemble

A
  • Insert the barrel (A) into the slide (B), fit the recoil spring (D) and guide (C) into place. If the recoil spring and guide were separated during stripping, ensure that the narrower end of the spring is slipped over the guide first.
  • During Spring Compression point away from body. Slip the assembled slide system onto the frame (E) until it contacts the end stop and hold it in place with the slide catch lever (F)
  • To close the slide, Thumb down the slide catch lever. Decock the hammer (H) with the decocking lever (I) and Insert the magazine.
