As employees of the classified service within the UCS, court officers are prohibited from obtaining and holding another paid position in the public sector, either on a full-time or part-time basis, without first obtaining the
written consent of the Deputy Chief Administrative Judge for Management
Support and the appropriate Deputy Chief Administrative Judge. This restriction applies to second positions in the unclassified as well as the classified service in any branch of State government (Executive, Legislative, or Judicial) or in a political subdivision. Consent must be obtained for each separate additional appointment or employment undertaken by the employee.
