That religion can act as a force for social change is by encouraging capitalism. as suggested by the item “religious ideas can be a powerful motivation for change, as Weber showed in his study of Calvinism” . he believed that the development of Calvinism was highly influential in creating modern capitalism, Furthermore, weber was a big believer in the idea that religion can bring about social change and encourage social stability
