A

attracted around 15,000 supporters (but no nobles or powerful allies), opposition to tax, marched from Cornwall to London (mainly confined to Cornwall), easily crushed with royal army of 25,000 men, leaders executed & others fined

  • asked for loans & benevolences (not repaid - couldn’t be used regularly)
