Ethics
not the law
ethics are more universal, and utopian
The object is not to drive people’s lives, but explain the moral acts without judging whats correct
Moral
Pool of beliefs, habits, values, or standards that act as a guide in our behaviour (within specific society)
2 levels:
- Normative “should be”
- Factual “it’s”
Involves feelings and emotions (motivational drive)
Values
fundamental beliefs that guide us to appreciate, choose, or prefer things or behaviours
ethics= philosophical study
morality= real daily actions

Traditional: Dual Process Model (2 different mental operations depending on the received info)
Personal dilemma: automatic and emotional
Impersonal dilemma: rational, which objective is to promote wellbeing

Kant: categorical imperative; any proposition that declares a certain action to be necessary. Denotes an absolute, unconditional requirements that exerts authority in all circumstances
