thick muscular wall, contractions move sperm into the AIJ. Also has cilia.

environment for sperm transport, embryogenesis, and attachment of the conceptus

Difference between the uterus of the cows and horses

Bicornuate- two horns mare and cow bitch queen and sow- polytocous Simplex- no uterine horn primate

dense irregular connective tissue, much thinner than in the testis
Cortex of ovary
Outside of medulla except for horses. Contains follicles and corpora lutea, atretica, and albicans. Has interstitial glands that secrete estrogen, and a specialized connective tissue with fibroblasts called a stroma.
