How is Tokaji made and what is it?
Tokaji is a sweet wine from Hungary
Blend of 4 native Hungary grapes (primarily Furmint), grapes affected by Botrytis Cinerea mold (aszu) is made into a paste, the unaffected grapes are harvested and fermented into base wine, the puttonyos baskets with aszu paste is blended into the base wine for desired level of sweetness
