JOINT ACTIONS:

  • Upward Rotation and elevation of Scapula.
  • Shoulder Flexion.
  • Elbow Extension.
  • Forearm Pronation.
  • Hip Flexion and Abduction.
  • Knee Extension.
  • Flexion of Ankle.

MUSCLES USED:

  • Using Erector-Spina to maintain a Neutral Alignment of the spine.
  • To STABILISE the shoulder joint using Rotator Cuff muscles.
  • To Flex shoulder joint your Deltoid and Biceps Brachiiare contracting.
  • To extend the elbow the TRICEPS are working.
  • Pronators allow you to pronate the forearm.
  • Thigh Adductors are working to internally rotate and adduct your thighs.
  • Hamstrings and Gastrocnemius in the back of your thighs are lengthening.
  • In this position it’s important to maintain a Neutral Spine. Neither rounded nor arched.
  • Ears between your 2 arms.
  • If you drop your head and chest too much you loose stability in shoulder joints which could lead to injury.
