Cervical - Neck 7V
Thoracic - Upper & Middle Back 12V
Lumbar - Lower Back 5V
Sacral - Sacrum/Pelvis 5V/F
Coccygeal - coccyx, or tailbone, is just below the sacrum. 4V/F
What Asana Creates….?
Extension - Backward Bends. EG: Ustrasana (Camel)
Flexion - Forward Bends. EG: Paschimottanasana (seated forward fold)
Axial - Twisting. EG: Parivrtta Anjaneyasana (revolted low lunge)
Lateral - Side Stretch. EG: Parighasana (Gate Pose)
What Asana creates EXTENSION?
Extension - Backward Bends. Extension = Lengthen.
