YouTube analytics allows you to see when users are dropping off
Which segment of users is connecting with your content?
There may be a segment of users watching your content that surprises you. You can discover the various ways in which users are finding your content.
Who is watching your content?
- Age
- Gender
- Geo
What are people watching?
- Real-time views shows instant feedback on your campaign launches.
- Watch time (not just views) should be the real measure of success. This is the metric that indicates if you’re making great content that connects with your audience.
Where are people watching?
- Traffic source shows where your viewers viewed your video whether it was embedded on a branded site, shared on social media or on YouTube
How engaged are your viewers and when are they dropping off?
- Retention curve shows on a second-by-second basis how long viewers are watching your video. Is the audience making it far enough to see your brand call to action.
How do I answer the who?
Using demographic reports to show core age and gender demographic information.
How do I answer the what?
What are people watching? The watch time report shows the aggregated total of how many minutes people spend watching each video over time,
How do I answer the where?
you can see if viewers are getting to your content by searching directly on YouTube, using the Suggested Videos thumbnails, or following links from social networking websites like Twitter or Facebook.
