How to go about making bumpers
A
- Don’t go about it thinking that you should make a 30 second ad that tells a really good story and then cut that ad down to 6 seconds
- A bumper can tell one joke or something small to connect. You can actually make several bumpers that fit together to make a story. Different segments that come together
- Maybe a bumper with a catchy tune can make people want to check the full ad out some more?
- Focus on a single, simple purpose
- Don’t forget to include audio for a stronger brand response
- Breaking the fourth wall with people talking directly to the camera had better ad recall
- Text slides, subtitles and other supers are associated with lower brand awareness. Voice overs are also associated with lower brand awareness
Bumpers are built for mobile and aim to deliver a quick snippet of information to viewers on the go
