Criminally responsible
Child 10 years + the offences of murder or manslaughter
Child 12 and 13
The offence is one for which the maximum penalty available is or includes imprisonment for life or 14
Child 12-13
The child has either been convicted of or declared in need of care and protection after committing an offence for which the maximum penalty is 14 or more years. At least 10 years but less then 14

W- witness
E- ensure they go
E- prevent loss/destruction
P- prevent further offences

Rights/caution, question after every right.

Arrest breach of bail. May arrest child without warrant.
Section 221
Rights explained before any. Young person allows to consult lawyer or nominated person
Section 222 (1)
Nominated per 20 years or above. Unless legal parent
Primary considerations
1- the well being and best interest of the child or young person
2- the public interest
3 the interests of victims
4- accountability of the child or young person for their behaviour
Category 4 or 3
Imprisonment up to life or 14 years and the arrest is in the public interest or Eba is carried out and a arrest needs to be made
