C – Collections, restricted weapons and use of weapons in theatrical performances

Duties Of License Holders
- Keep license legible and undamaged
-Produce to police on demand - Produce within 7 days, if not on person
- 30 days to notify change of address
- Report in writing, of any theft, loss or destruction of the firearm
- Death or injury, report to police as soon as practicable
- Licenses renewed every 10 years unless revoked, surrendered or previously have not held a license
0 – 16 years
Cannot own a firearm/airgun but can use under supervision of a licensed holder
16-18 years
Requires a license for both a firearm and air gun
18 years +
Requires license for a firearm, not air gun
Firearm definition
Anything from which any shot, bullet, missile, or other projectile can be discharged by force of explosive and includes:
- Anything that has been adapted
- Incomplete, replaced, corrected - Dismantled
- Especially dangerous air gun
Pistol
Restricted Weapon
Prohibited Weapon
- less than 762mm in length
- Molotov, grenades, rocket launchers
- Semi-Auto, Pump
Section 66 Arms Act 1983
Every person in occupation of any land, building or driver of a vehicle in or on, which any firearm is found, is deemed to be “in possession” unless proven not theirs

Every person in possession of any firearm, shall, on demand, give their:
- Full name
- Address
- D.O.B
