What did the Nazis want to achieve?
A
- To control the youth of Germany and make them grow up loyal to the government
- To train young girls as homemakers and boys as workers or soldiers

How did the Nazis achieve their aims in schools?
A
- New subjects were introduced (Race Studies) that taught pupils about how superior the German race was and how other races were inferior
- Only German history was taught in schools. The history was rewritten to support Nazi ideas (Jews and communists depicted as evil)
- Boys were taught mostly science, military drill and maths in order to prepare them for later life.
- Girls were taught subjects that would suit their role as homemakers in the future such as needlework and domestic sciences.

- Girls joined the League of Maidens and were taugh domestic chores (cleaning, cooking, raising children). They also did physical training to prepare them for motherhood
