A
They wore simple, traditional clothing and no high heels or make-up.

A
They were supposed to be strong and healthy to help with child bearing- being slim was seen as bad

How did the Nazi achieve their ideas of the role of women?
A
- 1933: women were forced form their jobs as doctors, lawyers and teachers and employers were told to favour men.
- They encouraged women to have large families and awarded the Motherhood Cross
- Used propaganda (films, leaflets and newspapers) to persuade omen to follow their ideals
- Local wardens reported women who were not following the Nazi rule
- Organisations were set up by the Nazis (Nazi Women’s League). They used propaganda to persuade women to embrace the Three Ks

Where the Nazi policies successful?
A
- The birth rate in Germany increased between 1933 and 1939
- In the early 1930s, the number of employed women fell
- Around 6 million women joined Nazi women’s organisations
HOWEVER, - Number of female workers increased between 1933 and 1939 not want not give up their jobs
- Employers hire more women because their wages were lower than men’s wages
- Most married Germans still only had an average of two children per family
