you got hearrrt Flashcards
what are the parts of the heart
blood,tubes, the pump,
are humans an open or closed system
closed
how many chambers are there
four chambers the rright for pumping right fro pumping in blood and left for pumping out blood
where does it enter
the right atrium atrium
what are the parts of the heart?
the arota, pulmonary artery, atrium r/l, semilunar valve r/l, atrioventricular valve r/l
what do the sinoatrial and atrioventricular nodes do
the sinoatrial node (SA) is the pacemaker of the heart it sets the rate and timing at which cardiac muscles cells contract and the AV node is after the SA node and the a singles travel tp the Purkinje fibres that make that heart contract
how does blood move through the heart?
the right ventricle pumps the oxygen-poor blood to the lungs through the pulmonary valves while the left atrium receives the oxygen-rich blood and it goes through the left side and pumps it to the body through the aorta
valves of the heart
semilunar valves, atrioventricular valve, both left and right
what are the parts of the heart not including valves?
aorta, inferior and superior vena Ceva, r/l atrium, pulmonary veins r/l, r/l ventricles
how does blood get oxygenated?
going from the right side of the heart it goes into the pulmonary arteries and goes into the capillary and in them there are and oxygen travels through air sacks through the capillaries into the blood. the blood then goes through the pulmonary veins
what does the vena Ceva do
there are two parts inferior and superior, the inferior brings oxygen-poor blood from the lower half of the body to the right side of the heart, while the superior brings oxygen-poor blood from the upper half of the body to the right side
