These are verbs made up of a single syllable. They are feature of the three tones in Yorùbá
* Dò (Low tone)
* Re (Mid-tone)
* Mí (High tone) - The tones of Yorùbá monosyllabic verbs determine their meanings. For example:
Bà - To perch
Ba - To bow, to crouch
Bá - to meet - Yorùbá monosyllabic verbs with a low tone often change to a mid-tone in sentences when they appear before an object.
