What might cause the stomata to close in the daylight ?
It’s too hot, dry, windy.
How does water get into a plant ?

It contains cellulose to give the cell strength and support.
What does a vacuole do ?
Contains cell sap to provide support.
What does a cell membrane do ?
Controls what goes in and out of the cell.
What do chloroplasts do ?
Contains chlorophyll to trap light and is the site of photosynthesis.
What is photosynthesis word equation ?
Carbon dioxide and water = glucose and oxygen
What are some of the uses of glucose in photosynthesis?
Lipids, respiration, cellulose, protein, starch.
What 4 factors affect the rate of photosynthesis?
Water, light, temperature and carbon dioxide.
How do you test for the presence of oxygen ?
Insert a splint that has recently been lit and blown out and put it where you want to test for oxygen. If it relights there is a lot of oxygen and then the opposite for not much oxygen.
State the 4 plant minerals

What does nitrate do ?
Healthy plant growth
