Q

What effects the transpiration rate?

A

The brighter the light, the greater the transpiration rate.
The higher the temperature, the faster the transpiration rate.
The better the air flow, the greater the transpiration rate.
The drier the air, the faster the transpiration rate.

Q

What is the phloem?

A

A phloem vessel transports dissolved sucrose and minerals up and down a plant. Phloem vessels transport the sucrose and minerals to where its needed for respiration or for storage in the roots. This is translocation.
