how to rectify SIV faults
check CBs LHS door 2
perform train stable
FDCL if not caused by a DER
assume someone is on the train even if you are empty cars
check mirrors (regularly)
PA to stay clear of doors
reduce speed
stop at next stop regardless of time table
make PA if still flashing do FDCL at platform procedure
if you isolate a door
FWN both ends
if you come to a stop mid section with FDCL
you must rectify or bypass 💁♀️

re- release doors
PA ask if anyone can remove object try close again
if not PA asking for a passenger to press PEI at faulty door - if they don’t
full cab unattended bring stickers TMM book log a TEC on the portable close the doors and walk looking for door.
middle motors release and close keep looking (60 seconds)

if you don’t find the broken door at a platform and you get to the other end
bypass tell TC detrain from the back

LHS of each door open cabinet move from 3 normal to 1 release and then close and then 4 motor lock and close sticker it and FWN
1 or more traction eq. fault is a train lines fault light indicating there is a traction issue on the train
the train will isolate this itself
Traction Fault light means the fault is on that motor
how to rectify a traction fault? and locate it
stable if time permits
to locate the fault activate each cab one by one and locate the motor that has both fault lights
place the traction isolate switch to isolate and extinguish the train lines fault light
book as per FMP
the traction fault light will remain on in that car
PA fault
if automatic announcement is broken driver is to inform passengers of junctions express running, terminations
if PA is inoperative check DTRS and use if available
if both are defective book
stable for 2 minutes, restart and wait an additional 4 minute and re-test PA
DTRS fault
press x on the keypad if that doesn’t work
deactivate cab trip and reset MCBS
enter TDN when prompted
perform radio test

to isolate :
insert the portable radio to cradle
trip the CB
reactivate the cab the portable is now the primary radio but the cradle will not charge it

if both are defective the driver must report immediately by any means necessary
