when would you use the air conditioner control switch in the a side CB cabinet
incase of fire in the saloon
safety loop supply switch
in the a side CB cabinet, use for being rescued
if the panto won’t go up and above 90 volts
check buttons are not latched
try panto command in the A side then check the saloon circuit breakers.
try from another cab if still won’t go inspect saloon circuits breakers and the three way switch is in the automatic position
what fault can’t you fix with a train stable?

how long will emergency saloon lights stay after a stable?
15 minutes
if there’s no voltage on the meter after you can visual and key in and on
the batteries are flat, isolates or a fuse gs blown, go for a walk and check the switch- look but no touch
if there are volts but and the panto won’t go up?

make sure the train is stables before you open the panel
the three positions of the three way switch are:
auto
manual raising
lower and isolating
where is the manual raise and three way switch

go to trailer and put three way switch or manual lower and isolate (manually lower with crank if necessary)
activate lead cab to raise other pantograph

when coasting under an overhead obstruction
always do a panto test first
use mode 1 on the EMS holding brake inhibit until clear of the section
if you have another can active light
the safety loop cannot close
make a cab to cab call
inspect each can for a cleaners key and activate the cab and see if the light extinguishes
once you find the defective can deactivate it it, this should help if not perform a train stable
if this doesn’t work the train can only be driven from the active cab you will need a competent employee
things to check if you can’t close the safety loop

if you can’t reset the safety loop after coupling it may be a fault with the coupler
you can use the bypass for any reason except not having 110- won’t work and no main res
when travelling on the safety loop bypass
you must hold the switch against the spring
there are no emergency brakes only letting go of the switch
you do not have to press the auto vigilance bypass
