isolating a saloon door
if already closed, turn the tri key to the isolate position.
to manually close a saloon door; pull DER handle to stage 1, wait the 20 seconds and pull to stage 2. pull closed like a siemens.
return the DER handle and close the cover, then you can turn the tri key,
observe the door lamp and buttons are red. push button confirm it won’t close

when you isolate a saloon door it will
be bypassed on the door status loop
lamp illuminates
the internal and external DERs will not work
DCU activates door out of service function
FDCL and then extinguished
the TMS should tell you where the door is, red box outside the train acknowledge,
release and attempt to close doors again, if the light extinguishes
if it won’t close make an announcement TEC call FDCL procedure if it’s not rectified, contact PSO, detrain by going to the back and releasing platform side doors make an announcement close doors observe CCTV and return to the lead. traction interlock bypass switch remove from service
when you have detained and turned traction interlock
be vigilant no one is on the train with the doors stays unknown. press safety system acknowledge button every 30 seconds

TMS pectoral: Cab door open.
if you are mid section traction will not be available.
use cab to cab, if no answers: open platform doors PA announcement of delay TEC call full cab unattended. approach safely careful of intruders and close door, cut in check pictogram,
if you close the door and it won’t acknowledge door is closed, remove from service . the pictogram will tell you if it’s lead cab or rear cab
DER or EED activated
level 3 alert: DER handle pulled 20 seconds until door release means a der is pulled to stage 1. you can use DER INHIBIT button to delay DER for 120 seconds as many times as required and answer the call
level 2 alert DER handle pulled 10 seconds until door release
level 1 : door opened and the DER INHIBIT and CANCEL DER INHIBIT lights will be extinguished
how do you reset a DER or EED
answer the PI call and resolve the emergency, then request the passenger to return the handle to the upright position. the train needs to be stationery to reset door system.
push DER INHIBIT and observe the light extinguish,
press doors close
observe steady blue.
if the passenger does not respond, assess the situation, if not an emergency PA tell passengers to stay away from the doors TEC call stop at next station regardless of timetable.
if mid section and train is stationary press DER INHIBIT and process to next station regardless of timetable
locate and attended affected door .
EAD emergency access device. external saloon door release
TMS Door X opened by EAD call metro and inspect.
you will not have traction. ack alert, view CCTV and determine emergency situation and safety. locate and attend affected door. PA TEC. if at platform release plat side doors and proceed via platform, close the cover.
if mid section proceed via the saloon and manually close saloon door EAD should automatically reset. close cover when next available reporting late running to metro and updating the passengers via PA
