how can you tell if an MA has had an over speed trip?
look at the MA, the over speed trip is underneath a GEC and on the side of a mistsubishi
if a GEC trips it will stop running- no sound
if a mitsubishi trips it will keep running and make a sound but no 110’or 415 output
how many DC supply circuit breakers do you need to be instead for a train to run

what happens to GEC motor alternators if the DC supply trips?
they will over speed, and oh must reset the DC supply before you reset the MA or they will just over speed again
what happens if you isolate the compressor governor?
it detects 0kpa causing the air compressor run continuously
when you isloate a compressor governor with the CB
other governors will still govern and run the compressors, it won’t turn the compressor off on the comp contact or switch will do that
will a shirt circuit in the DC supply train trip all DC supply circuit breakers

if there is a faulty compressor governor how will you know?
fluctuation in main res between low and safety valve setting. you might hear the safety valve if it’s in the lead cab if you hear it and the main red is 700 it’s a faulty safety valve but to identity which control governor is defective trip each circuit breaker individually until you get a steady needle on MR
why pressure is the safety valve set?

close the cocks on either end
