Even though many people believe that the Treaty helped lead up to World War II, some believe that the Treaty of Versailles did not lead up to WWII, and that many of the factors that Germany were held responsible for were because they were not as impacted from the war as other countries. However, in Document D it states “Much of the exaltation [enthusiasm] within Germany arising from Nazi regime arose [from] the way in which Hitler restored a sense of pride, reawakened a sense of self-respect, forcing the world to look at Germany anew. This shows that many Germans were upset about the Treaty and many turned to Hitler in a time of uncertainty and anger as a leader who forced the world to notice Germany during World War II.
