RAID 5 is the most common it seems that raid 10 is the most expensive which means that mirroring data i.e. raid 0 would cost the most.
Not too long ago, tape backup was the industry standard. Is it still? Do a Web search for “What is the best way to back up my office computer.” Review the top two or three articles found to determine whether magnetic tape, hard disks, optical disks, or cloud-based backups are the most prevalent approach. What do you think will still be the best practice in five years?
Cloud-based backups are the most prevalent approach, in five years unless cloud-based backups have some catastrophic error in the near future id still say they’ll still be on top of the best ways to backup.
Do a Web search for vendors that provide alternate-site strategies, such as hot sites, warm sites, and cold sites. How prevalent are they? What about mobile sites?

This module explains the components of a typical service agreement. Search for other examples on the Web. How do they differ? What areas are common to all?
all service agreements have both Duration and Costs and fee structures, how they differ compared to the text is the service agreement might include Confidentiality, third parties, Governmental Immunity, or any Modification’s if needed.
Suppose that you work at a small firm and your manager has asked you to investigate using Dropbox to replace a tape drive that backs up a single server system with 12 TB of data. Your manager says the company spent $8,000 six years ago for the tape drive and tapes it uses, and that it pays a vendor $1,200 a month to pick up and deliver backup tapes to a secure facility each week. Would Dropbox be an economical replacement for the current process? Justify your answer based on costs and then based on other benefits.
Using dropbox would be an economical replacement as it cost less, the benefits of useing dropbox is that it’s more avaibe and easyer to trasnport.
