Primary (Aging), Secondary (Acquired).
Trauma and joint abnormalities increase risk.
Risk Factors- Old age and Female.
Joint effusion, pain, stiffness, swelling, warm skin, heaviness in joint, reduced ROM, muscle wasting, tenderness.

Scaphoid Fracture

A

Usually occur when there has been force to the outer thumb and the radius is pushed into the scaphoid, causing a fracture.
May impact the extensor pollicis longus/brevis.
Bruising, swelling, bleeding, deformity, asymmetry.
Patient visibly in pain & reluctant to execute any movement with their wrist, hand or forearm.
