Process by which an increasing proportion of an areas region or countrys population lives in towns and cities
What is suburbanisation
This is the process leading to the outward growth of a town or city which may Engulf surrounding villages and towns to create a larger urban agglomeration
What is counter urbanisation
This is the movement of people from major urban areas to smaller towns/villages or rural areas
What is re urbanisation
This is the movement of people back into the city centre or inner city as part of the urban regeneration process

What is gentrification
The process of housing improvement it is associated with a change in neighbourhood composition as low income groups displaced by those in managerial or professional occupations(more affluent). Carried out by individuals not supported by bodies
