You are an Org Primary Owner on Enterprise Grid. Your organization has added many new users over the past few months resulting in an increase in administrative requests such as renaming and archiving public and private channels. You’d like to assign someone to help out.
Which Slack roles would be best suited to manage these requests? Select the 2 correct responses.
Choices: Org Admin/Channels Admin/Roles Admin/Channel Manager/User Admin
Channels Admin & Channel Manager
Guests
have joined your Slack Wkspce, but limited access
Invited Members
have been invited to Wkspc, but not accepted invitation,
I got the email 📧invite for Slack, but haven’t signed in yet. My coworkers have added me to a few channels & I’ve been getting email notifications when they @mention me or send me a DM. When I respond, my message is sent back to the appropriate channel, thread or DM. I don’t get to see the whole conversations, though, so I’m definitely signing up after I talk to you.
System Roles
have special permissions to complete specific Admin tasks
Members
have joined your Slack Workspace,
I can join any public channel, Delete my own messages & + Apps & integrations.
Workspace Primary Owner
highest level of permission in Wkspc (on Pro & Biz+),
I hold the highest level of permissions at the Workspace level. On Pro & Biz+, I can access high-level Admin feat like billing, Workspace authentication, access & security. On all plans, I can D & T ownership of a Wkspc & even demote a Wkspc Owner.
Org Admin
help manage Org Level Admin tasks,
I manage Org-level tasks like creating new Workspaces, spinning up Slack Connect channels & checking Workspace analytics
Workspace Admin
manage members, channels & other Admin tasks for Wkspc,
I manage the Members, channels & other tasks for a single Workspace. There are a few of us, so we bought matching jackets. We respond to a # of freq Member requests, including renaming channels, managing User Groups & creating custom Slackgo response.
Channel Manager
autom assigned & can help w/ common Channel mgmt tasks,
I am autom assigned this role if I create a Channel. I can handle common channel mgmt tasks like renaming channels, archiving channels & converting channels to private or public.
Workspace Owner
can’t D/T a Workspace, but can do everything except Org Admin,
While I can’t D or T ownership of a Wkspc, I can do most other things at the Wkspc level. I can set Channel retention, reset all Members’ passwords, & change 💳billing details.
Org Owner
can’t Transfer ownership or Org, but can do most other things at Org level,
While I can’t Transfer ownership of my Slack org, I can claim Domains, set up Org-Wide App Mgmt policies & configure SSO
