What did the NUWSS and WSPU do when war broke out?
In 1914 the NUWSS and WPSU stopped campaigning and went to support the war effort by working in factories
How had the women’s war effort create the impression that they should have the vote?
Showed that women could handle pressurised situations and do most jobs a man could do
