How do working conditions affect women in Parliament?
MPs have to work in their constituencies as well as in London, this is expensive. There might also be concerns around safety.

Why does lack of role models affect women?
There is a lack of female role models working in the UK Government which results in a lack of role models for people to look towards. This is partly related to the culture within Parliament where there has been a lack of female role models for a long time.
What is an example of lack of role models?
Former PM Liz Truss lasting only 45 days, alongside there only being 3 female PMs - all of whom are quite unpopular.
How do self-esteem issues affect women?
This can mean that they don’t feel capable of suitable for such a role with so much influence.
