Media Flashcards
How does the media inform the public
The media should inform the public about decisions that are being made on their behalf. This allows the public to act appropriately or prepare for implementation
How does the media investigate issues and concerns
The media often highlight issues that the government and public may be unaware of. This will put pressure on the government to make the best decisions for the country and correct any issues that have been highlighted.
How does the media hold government to account / Criticise the government
The media should be able to criticise the decisions being made by the government. They often do this to encourage the government to tackle these issues and concerns.
