What two theories relate to autism

A
  • TOM = austistic individuals struggle to understands others thoughts, feelings and behaviour (Theory of mind). Unexpected transfer test showed children with autism perfomred worse than ability matched groups
  • Weak central coherence = autistic individuals are faster at embedded tasks. They focus on parts and not as a whole
