-Revolutionised everyones understanding of the solar system.
Who was Isaac Newton?
- He confirms the structure and workings of the universe.
- He explains gravity and centrifugal force.
Who was Rene Descartes?
- If there’s no room for god then there’s no room for the devil.
- The world was a pure mechanism and it was also governed without influences from god.
Who was Thomas Hobbes?
- He added to Descartes reasoning about no room for god or the devil.
- He created deductive reasoning to take rules and apply facts to it.
Who was John Locke?
- Humans are born without knowledge and learn it though their lives.
- Knowledge isn’t fully accurate but everyone gains it though experiences.
What was the royal society?
- Improved general understanding of the natural environment and knowledge of the world.
- Bacon, Copernius, Kelper, Galileo, Newton, Descartes, Hobbes and Locke were all involved within the royal society.
- It was formed in 1660 but didn’t open until 1662.
