What was the restoration

A

King Charles 2nd is the new king.
Restoring the king.
He liked partying and entertaining. He was a people person and wouldnโ€™t get along with parliament as they killed his father.
He helped people out in the great fire of London.
When he died his brother James 2nd became king.
Charles died from infections as the medicines werenโ€™t good.

A

A

A

Put parliament in charge of the country and not the king or queen. You must be Protestant to become king/queen after the bill of rights. William wanted to be king to use their army to fight France where James had went.

James was King of Scotland, England and Ireland. There were many arguments over money, power and religion during his reign. In 1625 his son Charles became King.
He set up the Ulster plantation.

William 3rd is James 2nd nephew but he married James 2nds daughter Mary making William James nephew and son in law.
Mary and William 3rd were cousins before they got married.
