Q

Allah judges everybody on Judgement Day

A

“…those who oppress their fellow men and conduct themselves with wickedness and injustice in the land. They shall be sternly punished.” (Qur’an 42:40)
Those who have not treated other people justly will not be shown mercy and will be punished, the just will be rewarded; that is the justice of Allah
Muslims want to go to heaven as an eternal place of happiness and so will act justly to ensure this reward

Q

Zakah

A

Zakah is the third pillar of Islam and requires a Muslim to share out 2.5% of their surplus income amongst those less fortunate than themselves
As one of the Five Pillars of Islam, Zakah is one of the most important Muslim practices and must be satisfied in order to live a good life according to Islam
Muslims regard this as a simple justice because it is working towards a more just society

Q

What does Allah teach about forgiveness?

A

Allah is merciful to those who seek His forgiveness. ‘If anyone does evil or wrongs his own soul, but afterwards seeks God’s forgiveness, he will find Him most forgiving and merciful.’ (Surah 4:110)
It is far better for a victim to forgive a person’s injustice than to act against it

Q

What does the Shari’ah Law ban?

A

The charging or paying of interest on loans as this makes the less wealthy pay the wealthy and is unjust. As a result many Muslims feel they cannot take out traditional mortgages in Britain. Some UK banks now offer Muslim
mortgages similar to rental
agreements.
Allah’s will is that they should follow Shari’ah Law (the Islam legal system) which is based on the idea of justice for everyone
