Why are we here.__BN Flashcards

Q
Why are we here?
- Bacteria is the most successful lifeform ever.
- Bacteria needs to capture the Sun’s energy for nutrition to survive.
- Bacteria has no way or means to capture the Sun’s energy, therefore it created and evolved survival machines that we call plants and animals. We are animals by the way.
- We are animals, yet even we cannot capture the Sun’s energy.
- So, how does it all work? Plants absorb the Sun’s energy through photosynthesis. Animals eat the plants. We are animals and we eat the plants. Animals eat other animals. Humans eat other animals. But when an animal, insect or human eats plants and other animals, we get no energy from it. Why?
A
- Remember we are the survival eating machine made from Bacteria. We are over 90% bacteria. So how do we get our energy from protein if our food gives us nothing?
- We chew up the food and it goes through our digestive tract which is full of bacteria. The bacteria eats the food in our stomach and intestines and then our bacteria exudes POO. This POO is their waste product. Running this POO through our intestines is where we finally get our protein, resulting in energy for our body. This is how Bacteria and we humans finally get the captured energy from the Sun!
- When we die and our corpse disolves into the Earth, our body gives back the Sun’s energy to the Earth. Some of this soil feeds other insects and worms. Some of the Sun’s energy remains in the soil as nutrients to feed new plants. We humans use his energy as fertilizer to grow new gardens and flowers. A very common form of this reclaimed energy is manure.
