what is criminal psychology?
it is the application of psychology to find reasons behind anti-social behaviour and factors which may contribute towards causing anti-social and criminal behaviour.
what is anti-social behaviour?
it is not in itself a criminal act however it could lead to one, it is the behaviour of a group or individual that causes harrasment to memebers of society and genrally goes aggainst social norms and values. it also limits the quality of life of a community.
what is a crime?
a behaviour that violates social norms and morals, religious values, or legal boundaries and is therefore punishable by some kind which is why laws are put in place.
what is recidivism?
it is a % of offenders who re-offend and is a term used to describe the % of re offenders in a year.
