what does the Catholic Church teach about our ressurection?
Catholics should try live their lives as ‘Easter people’ who will be judged after death and given opportunity to be in God’s presence for eternity. It will be physical and spiritual like jesus. This will happen at judgement day.
Saint Paul quote for Jesus’ ressurection + meaning
“If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain”
This is saying we must believe in Jesus’ resurrection if we have faith so ressurection has already happened
Saint Paul quote for our ressurection + meaning
“It is sown in physical body, it is raised a spiritual one. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body”
This is saying we are both body and spirit. Our soul lives on and will be given a new ‘glorious body’ at judgement. This means our ressurection will happen
