  1. recommended max loss 1lb (3500 kcals), no more than 1 kg per week, set realistic short term goals and readjust based on changes, set re-appraisal date to monitor chnages in BMI and WC
  2. recommend decrease EI and increase PA by 250 kcals/day
  3. weight loss may not occur as quickly as desired because non-fat mass weighs more than fat and muscle may increase with PA since goal is to decrease adipostiy
