– Suitable for e-mail access, web browsing
(4G) networks:
– Up to 100 Mbps
– Suitable for Internet video
– LTE and WiMax
(5G) networks:
– Gigabit capacity, enables the Internet of Things (IoT)
– Higher speed, better connectivity
– Not available everywhere
Hypertext Markup Language (HTML):
Page description language
for creating web pages
Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP):
The communications standard used to transfer pages on the web
Defines how messages are formatted and transmitted
Uniform resource locator (URL):
domain name/directory path/webpage name
Voice over IP (VoIP):
Delivers voice information in digital form using packet switching, avoiding the tolls charged by local ad long distance telephone networks
