Ant aspect of greater tubercle of humerus

Strengthens superior aspect of joint capsule
What is the proximal attachment of the transverse humeral ligament?
Greater tubercle of humerus
What is the distal attachment of the transverse humeral ligament?
Lesser tubercle of humerus

Forms a canal with the intertubercular sulcus (bicipital groove), holds synovial sheath and tendon of long head of biceps brachii.

Ant aspect of the acromion

Forms the coraco-acromial arch with acromion and coracoid process, prevents superior displacement of humeral head.

Margin of glenoid cavity
