Q

Why is race described as a social construct?

A

Artificial construct, society assigns people to racial categories because of power and social opinion. Variation in skin pigmentation is an evolutionary process to differences in the directness of sunlight. Therefore the concept of human races is scientifically invalid. All humans share a common ancestry. Less than 0.1% variation.
