Week 6: Physical Inactivity and SB Flashcards

1
Q

Q

What is the common relationship between screen time and mortality?

A

Increased screentime has an increased risk of mortality

Study showed more than 4 hours screen time attributed to a 1.54 hazards ratio of all cause mortality

Q

Relationship between SB, PA and all cause mortality

A

Mortality is highest for those in the lowest 3rd of MVPA irrespective of the SB level

As MVPA decreased there was a transient increase in risk of death –> Greater risk of mortality as SB increased
