SHORT-TERM VS LONG-TERM GOAL SETTING
Problems with long-term goals
- Prolonged time without performance reinforcement
- Lack of immediate performance reinforcement
Long goals broken into sub goals
No progression means to modify behavior and strategies, determined through feedback given
If a goal is intrinsically interesting then there is an undermining feelings when completing sub goals on a path to long goal
