SHORT-TERM VS LONG-TERM GOAL SETTING

A

Problems with long-term goals

  1. Prolonged time without performance reinforcement
  2. Lack of immediate performance reinforcement

Long goals broken into sub goals

No progression means to modify behavior and strategies, determined through feedback given

If a goal is intrinsically interesting then there is an undermining feelings when completing sub goals on a path to long goal
