2 or more felony arrests in the past 2 years
3 or more unanswered OATH summonses in the past 8 years
Parole or probation
What are the difference between 4 codes in a Criminal Court Summon?
Code 1: Violater is an OATH Recidivist and not eligible for a OATH summons
Code 2: Violater has a warrant or PCI-card
Code 3: Officer articulated a legitimate law enforcement reason to issue a C-summon instead of OATH. Patrol Supervisor must verify.
Code 4: Violation citied is not covered under the CJRA or subject violated multiple rules in which at least one is returnable to Criminal Court
UMOS must conduct a license check in these 5 situations:
Traffic collisions involving death or PI
Traffic collisions regardless of injuries if RMP is equipped with a MDT
Car stops and the vehicle operator does not present a NYS Driver License
All car stops if the RMP is equipped with an MDT
Other situations, which require further investigation
