acute encephalitis lethrgica
-Flu-like symptoms (malaise, fever, pharyngitis, shivering, headache, vertigo, and vomiting)
-Somnolent (lethargy, confusion, delirium,coma) ophtalmoplegic (diplopia and pupilary abnormalities)
-Hyperkinetic (chorea, vocalizations, myoclonic twitches, oculomasticatory myorhythmia)
-Amyostatic-akinetic (minimal movements, rigid immobility, catatonia, masked faces)
Chronic encephalitis lethargica
Postencephalitic parkinsonism (PEP)- Stiffness, rigidity, slow movements
Sleep disturbances
Oculomotor abnormalities- Rolling of the eyes which patients could not control
Involuntary movements
Speech and respiratory abnormalities
Psychiatric disorders
No sign of dementia- No sign of cognitive deterioration, only motor was affected
