Hypotension Cerebral hemorrhage Bradycardia Extreme tachycardia (HR > 150) Erectile disfunction drugs in last 24 hours (Viagra, Cialis, Levitra) Right sided MI
What are the side effect of nitroglycerin?
Can cause hypotension
Transient headache
What are special notes for nitroglycerin?
Must have 100 systolic prior to administration
Must have IV established prior to administration
What is furosemide?
Loop diuretic
What’s another name for furosemide?
Lasix
What does furosemide do?
Inhibits sodium and water retention in the loop of henle
What is furosemide for?
Pulmonary edema and chf
What is the dose of furosemide?
20-80 mg slow IV/IO
Contraindications for furosemide?
Hypovolemia
dehydration
Severe electrolyte depletion
Pregnancy
Side effects of furosemide?
Dehydration
Electrolyte imbalances
Special notes for furosemide?
Can be ototoxic
Can cause tinnitus if pushed too fast
What is morphine sulfate?
Opiate analgesic

Ischemic chest pain
Pulmonary edema
Pain control
What’s the dose or morphine sulfate?
1-3 mg IV
Repeat titrated PRN
Max 10 mg
Contraindications for morphine sulfate?
Hypotension
Hypovolemia
Head injury
Side effects of morphine sulfate?
Respiratory depression
Hypotension
Notes for morphine sulfate?
Must have 100 systolic prior to administration
Respiratory depression is reversed with narcan upon overdose
