what is vicarious trauma?
emotional effects on PROVIDERS that results from working with people who have suffered any type of trauma, hearing their stories and witnessing their pain
ie: compassion fatigue, COVID nurse, guilt or shame related to patient outcome, becoming numb to trauma etc.
