size up IGEL correctly:

SIZE 4 for manikin.

Size 5 = 90kg+
size 4 = 50-90kg
size 3 = 30-60kg
size 2.5 = large pediatric - 25-35kg
size 2 = small paediatric - 10-25kg
size 1.5 = infant - 5-12kg
size 1 = neonate - 2-5kg

A

Confirm I-gel working with EtCO2 ( EXPIRED CARBON DIOXIDE)

NORMAL VALUE = 4.0-5.7kPa

Can be measured with:

  • CAPNOMETRY = NUMBER
  • CAPNOGRAPHY = GRAPH/WAVEFORM
