Describe the six victorian newborn service levels of care
Level 1
- care for well, uncomplicated, term neonates
- 37 weeks and 2500g
Level 2
- care for term, good weight neonates who are slightly unwell
Level 3
- Mild to mod unwell but still uncomplicated newborns
- 34 weeks and 2000g
Level 4
- mod unwell but still uncomplicated newborns
- 32 weeks and 1500g
Level 5
- mod unwell, complex or preterm newborns
- 31 weeks or 1250g
Level 6
- continuous life support and comprehensive MDT care
